Launch of health vouchers program at Utama Dhamar
Deputy Governor of Dhamar Mohsen Ali Haroun launched today the program of health vouchers for safe motherhood and family planning in the department of Utama, implemented by the Yaman Foundation for Health and Social Development under the slogan "safe motherhood .. happy family".

The ceremony was attended by the head of Dhamar General Hospital Dr. Ali Mohammed Salah and the Director of Utama Department Abdo Hussein Hatem. The Undersecretary, Haroun, emphasized the importance of the program in providing health services and advice to mothers, thus contributing to reducing the mortality of pregnant mothers and children.

He pointed to the importance of expanding the scope of intervention in the program of health vouchers for family planning in all districts, especially in light of the difficult conditions experienced by the country as a result of the continued aggression.

And praised the efforts of the Yaman Foundation in the implementation of the program .. Stressing the support of the local authority and facilitate the work of organizations and interventions to support service projects and health.

The Director of the Health Bureau, Dr. Khalid Al-Hajji, pointed to the importance of the program to provide health services to pregnant mothers through the provision of medicines and access to care and advice provided by midwives.

For his part, the Project Manager of Yaman Mohammed Al Zarqa said that the implementation of the program in Utama comes within the framework of effective partnership between the local authority leadership in the governorate and the institution through implementing the program in four former directorates from the beginning of 2017 until the end of 2018.

The new program would provide essential medicines for some chronic diseases and train health personnel to provide reproductive health services, implement health education activities in secondary schools and organize workshops with community leaders.

Zarqa pointed out that the total beneficiaries of the program in the target districts 26 thousand and 326 women .. He pointed out that the Foundation is working to expand in the directorates of the two sides during the coming period.

Ms. Samar Al-Qadi, director of the voucher project at Utama, explained that the program will start training health providers and providing medicines for chronic diseases and health education in schools.

The program aimed to increase improved health services in the area of ​​safe motherhood and family planning among the target population in the departments currently supported, as well as reducing the maternal mortality rate, increasing improved health services in safe motherhood and improving the health system in the target areas.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the head of the services committee at the local council in the governorate Sadeq Al Masri, directors of planning offices, Engineer Samir Al-Muhajji and Finance Abdullah Al-Thalaya, Youth and Sports Hussein Al-Sufi, Director of Health at Utama Nabil Ziad and Coordinator of the Central Districts Fahad Al-Marouni and the Program Coordinator in the Governorate.
