Yamaan Foundation Celebrates the Graduation of 150 Healthcare Professionals in Obstetric and Neonatal Emergency Care

Yamaan Foundation for Health and Social Development celebrated the graduation of 150 healthcare professionals from the Obstetric and Neonatal Emergency Care diploma programs, implemented in collaboration with the Yemeni Board of Medical and Health Specialties and supported by the German Development Bank (KfW).

The program aims to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals and improve emergency obstetric and neonatal services, equipping trainees with intensive practical training across multiple governorates to help reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates.

Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qasim Mohammed Buhaibeh, emphasized the importance of these diploma programs in addressing healthcare gaps and urged continued investment in training healthcare professionals. Dr. Mohammed Al-Hamed, Field Operations Manager in Aden, highlighted that these specialized trainings will significantly enhance the quality of healthcare services.

During the ceremony, Minister Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh and Deputy Minister for the Population Sector Dr. Ali Al-Walidi were honored with Excellence Shields in recognition of their efforts in supporting and developing the healthcare workforce. Several key contributors to the program’s success were also recognized.
