Background:

The Safe Motherhood  Voucher Program tackles maternal mortality, improves reproductive healthcare and delivers family planning services and products to women most in need of them. It also contributes towards newborn health by making high quality safe motherhood services available and accessible to poor women. The program offers two voucher options for women to purchase to receive maternal healthcare services. 

Objective:

The program aims to increase the use of improved health services related to safe motherhood. The program will enhance the quality of safe motherhood services and make them available and accessible to poor women in the targeted areas.

Phase I (2012 – 2016):

- Target governorates Lahj and Ibb

- Services provided: safe motherhood services.
